Ongoing Platform promotion activities 📡

This article covers ongoing Platform promotion activities your organization may want to consider.

Your EcoMap should be the definitive resource on your Ecosystem, but it’s a new resource and may take a bit of time and effort to gain its footing. It takes time to spread awareness, build your audience, and become a go-to resource across partners. Promoting your EcoMap should be an ongoing activity that extends well beyond launch date.

  • Be an engaged Admin: review new users, manually added data assets, feedback, etc.
  • Incorporate your Platform into your workflows and processes whenever possible and provide guidance so your partners and ESOs do the same.
  • Establish strategic, reciprocal partnerships. Promote your partners and ask that they promote you and your EcoMap. Engaging your Ecosystem Partners dives deep into this in depth.
  • Continue to promote your EcoMap within your Ecosystem at in person events and webinars.
    • Walk attendees through the platform, profile creation, etc
  • Continue to add fresh content that you can promote on socials, in newsletters, and at events. This will drive not just new users, but return users to see what's new.
    • Example: "New Guide alert! Head over to [Platform Name] to check out our Guide to _____"
    • Example: "Have you ever asked yourself about ______? We've compiled you a list of all things  ______ in our Ecosystem. Check it out here on [Platform Name].
  • Identify individual community ambassadors who want to see you succeed and empower them to assist in the promotion and development of your EcoMap encouraging their peers to sign up. Ask these ambassadors to engage with the Platform which could include creating curated Lists, posting in your Community Hub, sharing events, or you can give them the Guide Manager permission and encourage them to write Guides. If they're a notable community member, perhaps they write "So and so's Guide to [topic of expertise]."
  • Run an ad campaign. Ad campaigns allow you to target your exact audience to help you boost Platform visibility and recognition.
  • Create an introductory or overview video about your platform to share on your primary website, social media platforms, newsletters, or for partners to share on their platforms. Tools like Loom make recording these sorts of videos super easy.
  • Iterate!
    • Get feedback and adapt over time. Listening to your users and partners will help you make sure you're meeting their needs.
  • Partner with your CSM to implement feedback you’re receiving. Your CSM is your strategic partner and can advise on best practices and what similar clients have done.

Keep going! You got this 💪
