This article will explain how end Users can create Lists in an EcoMap as well as how to remove items off Lists you've created.
Lists are a great way to curate a mix of different Asset types (Orgs, Resources, Events, Users, News posts, Guide, and Jobs) all in one place with a shared theme or purpose. They can be public, private, or semi-private (shared with just who you select for visbility).
EcoMap Admins or Users can create Lists. This article will explain the process for a User to create a List from scratch as well as how to remove items from Lists.
1. Navigate to the Lists section of your platform.
Note that the section can be renamed, so it might be under a different name such as "expert-curated lists" or "shared lists."
2. Tap Create a New List.
3. Input a name and short description for the list.
Give the list a descriptive name so people know what it's about at a glance. Explain the purpose of your list more in depth within the short description.
4. Check the box if you want the list to be public and uncheck it to make it private or semi-private.
5. Provide a longer description for the List's profile page.
6. Click the dotted box to Upload an Image or an Icon.
We highly suggest adding a visual to catch Users' eyes.
7. Use the box to Select relevant tags for this list. A drop down of potential keywords will be displayed.
You're not limited to just one Keyword, select all that apply.
So, it could look like this:
If you add one and change your mind, leverage the X icon to remove it.
8. Select Users who can edit this list.
This drop down will pull up Users to select from. If you want to search for someone, just begin typing their name and the dropdown will filter down.
9. If your list is private, you can leverage the "Select Users to share this with" box to identify individuals you want to be able to see your list.
10. Now it's time to build your List! Use the selection boxes for each asset type to compile your List.
Begin typing an Asset's name to pull it up directly or simply click in the box for a drop down of all Assets of that type to appear.
