# ERM: How to Automatically Assign Case Managers

## Learn how to configure a Case Type to automatically assign a Case Manager.

How to Turn on (or off)  
1\. From the Case Types Tab in the Admin Panel, select the Case Type you wish to edit and click the 3 dots in the upper right corner of the card.

2\. Scroll down to the Automatic Case Assignment section on the Case Type editor and toggle to the right to turn on. If you choose to leave this off, you will have to assign a case manager every time.

3.Once toggled on, select the preferred settings as prompted and add Case Managers to the configuration.
